A 1394-SJT05-C-RL is a GMC system module that supports four (4) axis modules and four (4) channel auxiliary input channels. The input voltage of the module is AC 380/460 volts, three phases, the input frequency is 50/60 Hz, and the current is 6.5 amps. Output voltage 530/680V DC, continuous output power 4/5 kW, peak power 28 kW. The continuous output current is 7.36A and the peak current is 15.0 amps. The system module integrates RIO and AxisLink.
The 1394-SJT05-C-RL is a standard GMC system module with integrated Remote I/O (RIO) and AxisLink communication ports.
The remote I/O and AxisLink communication ports are located in the upper left corner of the module with a diagnostic led installed. Remote I/O allows any 1394 system module to communicate with the Allen-Bradley manufactured position controller. Two similar connectors are installed on the system module, labeled CHAN A/P3 and CHAN B/P4. For establishing a physical remote I/O (RIO) connection, Allen-Bradley recommends using the AB1770 CD Belden 9463 wire or equivalent cable. This cable is also recommended for other Allen-Bradley products for RIO communications. When connecting a remote I/O cable to either of the two (2) RIO channels, the blue wire must be connected to terminal 1, the shielded wire to terminal 2, and the transparent wire to terminal 3. The RIO network requires installation of terminal resistors. This terminal resistor is installed on the first and last node of the RIO communication network.
AxisLink can transmit data over the network. The protocol supports 8 nodes and is primarily used for synchronous motion applications. A node can consist of eight GMC system modules or any combination of ALEC and GMC system modules. With this communication protocol, it is possible to use the 1394 system module as a spindle, which can be used for electronic drives, cams and other systems.
