The 1336-BDB-SP79D replacement gate driver board is a gate driver board located between the main control board and the drive case, which is used to take the low-power input signal from the control module and amplify it into the high-power input of the IGBT switch. The 1336-BDB-SP79D board is a replacement for the F-Model 1336 FORCE, PLUS II, PLUS, FORCE, and IMPACT drives with all case ratings. The 1336-BDB-SP79D board is designed for circuits with a rated AC voltage of 575 volts and 1336 PLUS II, PLUS, FORCE and IMPACT drivers with a total fixed output of 400 HP. It is located between the main control board and the main case and is mounted on the gate driver mounting board.
The 1336-BDB-SP79D board is mounted on the grid driver mounting board using eight factory-supplied bracket screws, which are secured clockwise. There are multiple jumper connectors (J2 to J13) on the grid driver board to help complete the circuit connection between the connectors on the board surface. It has a contact terminal for high voltage auxiliary input, and terminals TB20 and TB21 for connecting the control module. The 1336-BDB-SP79D board was installed when the driver’s old gate drive board was damaged. To mount the 1336-BDB-SP79D board on the gate driver mounting board, first turn off the power to the driver, then connect the new 1336-BDB-SP4D gate driver board to the mounting board clockwise using the included bracket screws (8 screws). Then connect the jumper connector to the board surface and connect the auxiliary input terminals.
