TMR integrates three isolated parallel control systems and a wide range of diagnostic functions in a single control system. The Tricon controller uses three identical channels. Each channel executes the control program independently in parallel with the other two channels. A dedicated hardware/software voting mechanism identifies and validates all digital inputs and outputs in the field, while analog inputs go through an intermediate value selection process.
