5069-RTB5-SCREW module is a detached-terminal kit that can be connected to CompactLogix 5380 controller; Both the kit and the controller itself are manufactured by Rockwell Automation. CompactLogix Controllers Controller solutions for a variety of applications, from standalone applications to more complex systems where devices are interconnected and communicate over EtherNet/IP networks.
The 5069-RTB5-SCREW weighs about more than 500 grams. The power supply for removing the terminal is powered through the MOD and SA power connectors and must not exceed 24 volts DC. The 5069-RTB5-SCREW can be used with a variety of accessories such as end caps, memory cards, and Ethernet communication cables. The RTB is installed on the controller by connecting it to the 5069-AEN2TR adapter, which also contains various other accessories mentioned above.
For safety reasons, no more than one wire should be connected to a single RTB terminal. All power inputs must be grounded through the grounding bus to avoid injury to the operator by electric shock. The RTB has a ground terminal to provide a low impedance path between the circuit and the earpiece; It also helps reduce white noise. Materials required to secure the module to the controller include a certain amount of insulated wire and a screwdriver. Strip the insulated wire and insert the exposed copper (no more than 0.39 inches) into the screw points of each terminal. Next, the operator turns the screwdriver to close the wire into the terminal, tightening the screw between 0.5 N-m and 0.6 N-m. All of these steps should be done while the power connection to the SA AC is off to avoid arcing that could cause an explosion.
