It is compatible with all RX3i modules and can be expanded to 10 slot racks by adding an expansion kit.
The IC698CHS009A rack is the 9-plug-in I/O rack of the Rx7i PACsystem series. This rear I/O rack is compatible with all Rx7 CPUs and I/O devices, and the 90-70 series /C and VME modules. The 1C698CHS009 rack has plug-in sensing function and supports software configuration. No DIP switches or ice required for I/O addressing. It also provides an automatic daisy-chain of the new answer bus authorization signal, without the need for slot jumpers, and supports the Rx7 power plug-in. The IC698CHS009A rack has 9 I/O slots for installing Rx7i CPUs, I/O modules, and power modules. Slots 1 to 8 are 20 mm wide and support only single modules. 9 slots are 40.6 mm wide and double width modules are supported. Slot 1 is reserved for the CPU only, and the 61 mm wide “Slot 0” is used for the power module.
