9907-173 This unit is part of Woodward’s load sharing unit. The unit is designated as a synchronous and droop load sharing unit for model 907-173. These units were developed and manufactured to be attached and installed on Caterpillar model engines and equipped with production-like digital speed components. These engines handle pulse width modulation inputs. When the Woodward load sharing module is connected to it, this also allows for the integration of other parts produced by Woodward. It also divides the load distribution between the Caterpillar engine and the speed control module and the Woodward electronic control unit.
The required power input for this module ranges from a minimum input of 18 to 32 V/DC, or 5 watts. It resists reverse voltages up to -32 V/DC, and undervoltages and overvoltages up to 80 V/DC. There are PT and CT three-phase inputs. PT inputs require 100 to 240 V/AC wire-to-wire, while CT inputs require 3 to 7 A Rms at full load. It should be noted that the equipment can only be used if it contains an engine prime mover system that meets the requirements of the said directive, as well as the CE marking.
