The IC693BEM341 is a Factory Instrumentation Protocol (FIP) compatible module that belongs to Emerson Automation’s Series 90-30 Programmable Logic controller (PLC) family and was previously manufactured by GE Fanuc Automation. This module is an upgrade over the previous bus controller, as the IC693BEM341 has a data rate of 2.5 MHz. The IC693BEM341 specifically comes with three (3) built-in communication interfaces, two (2) 9-pin D-housing FIP bus connectors, and one (1) RS485 communication interface for software upgrades via firmware modifications.
