The IS215UCVGH1A is a panel component created by GE for the Mark VI system. MKVI is a steam and gas turbine management system released by General Electric as part of the Speedtronic product line. The Speedtronic series began in 1969 and continued until the release of Mark VI/Mark VIe in the 1990s.
The MKVI has five versions of the UCV controller. The IS215UCVGH1A is the single-slot version of the controller. Any previous controller can be directly replaced by the IS215UCVGH1A. If a controller of an earlier version is replaced, you do not need to upgrade the backplane. IS215UCVGH1A is installed in the VME rack.
The IS215UCVGH1A uses Intel’s ultra-low voltage Celeron 650 processor chip. The chip has 128MB of SDRAM and 128MB of flash memory. This board has a front panel. There is a reset switch on the panel followed by an SVGA monitor port. There is a keyboard/mouse port and two COM ports (side by side, labeled 1 and 2). Two Ethernet ports are stacked on a board. They are labeled LAN1 and LAN2. There are two separate USB connectors, four LED indicators and a panel opening.
The IS215UCVGH1A board consists of multiple auxiliary boards. In some places, assistive devices are acceptable if they are added. A board has only one backplane. On the surface of the circuit board are capacitors, inductors, crystal oscillators, oscillating chips, jumper switches and integrated circuits.
