The IS220PTURH1A is a component created by GE for its Mark VI system. The Mark VI is one of the final Speedtronic systems released by General Electric for gas/steam turbine management.
The IS220PTURH1A is a primary turbo specific primary travel package. This component provides an electrical interface between the turbine control terminal board and one or two Ethernet networks. The output of the package is connected to the associated terminal board via a DC-62 pin connector.
The IS220PTURH1A comes in a black housing with an opening for air circulation. The front of this case has multiple LED indicators, as well as an IR(infrared port). This port is not used in this package. Inside this enclosure, there is a processor board, a second board dedicated to turbine control, and an analog acquisition auxiliary board. The package is installed on the TTURH1C terminal board. The processor board has two 10/100 Ethernet interfaces, flash memory and RAM, read-only chip for identification, internal temperature sensor and reset circuit.
The IS220PTURH1A allows automatic reconfiguration, which will automatically download from the controller to the I/O package. Reconfiguration includes base load, boot load, firmware, and parameters. To do this, you must enable automatic reconfiguration. This is enabled or disabled in the toolbox ST application through the Component editor.
The IS220PTURH1A has four passive magnetic speed input interfaces. Circuit sensitivity can allow the detection of a gear speed of 2 RPM to determine if the turbine has dropped to zero speed (the turbine has stopped).
