The IS220PVIBH1A is a Mark VIe vibration monitor I/O package that connects to the terminal board of the Mark VIe system.
Product description
The IS220PVIBH1A model is designed as a vibration monitoring package. The main function of the PVIB package is to provide electrical interface function between up to two I/O Ethernet networks and vibrating terminal boards. The main component of the package is the main processor board used with most MK VIe distributed I/O packages, as well as the daughter board and acquisition board.
There are 13 channels on the assembly for collecting and reading proximity and vibration information through the following sensor types:
Velomitor
earthquake
Proximitors
accelerometer
Sensor types are used for different channels, for example, accelerometers are only used for channels 1, 2, and 3. Note that channels 9, 10, 11 and 12 can only be used to support the near end, while channel 13 can input either the near end type or the key phasor signal type. Note that the 13 differential inputs on the IS220PVIBH1A packet have a DAC(digital-to-analog converter) for bias adjustment that can invalidate the DC content of the signal to better focus the a /D(analog-to-digital) input range.
The PVIB I/O packet has a processor application code that is used to potentially contain all the logic code needed to allow the packet to operate from single or dual Ethernet inputs. When operating from both Ethernet inputs, the network path required for proper operation of the IS220PVIBH1A packet is always active. If for any reason one of the networks fails, it will not cause any type of interference with the operation of the I/O packet, but the failure will be indicated through the operational network connection.
