The Communication Gateway module provides a wide range of all ACK monitoring values and status communication capabilities that can be integrated with process control and other automation systems that use Ethernet TCP/IP and serial (RS232/RS422/RS485) communication capabilities. It also allows large network communication with 3500 rack configuration software and data acquisition software. The Ethernet connection to 3500/92 is a large network RJ45 connection with a 10BASET star configuration. The 3500/92 supports the communication interface, communication protocol, and other features of the original 3500/90, with the exception of the main value Modbus register. 3500/92 now has a configurable Modbus register utility that provides the same functionality originally handled by the primary value Modbus register.
