The IC697CPM790-GD is a 64 MHz CPU manufactured by GE FANUC with computing power using 32-bit floating point and a microprocessor 80486DX2. The CPU utilizes single-slot programming software that performs configuration and programming with Windows or MS-DOS. The IC697CPM790-GD includes discrete inputs and outputs of up to 12K (mixed simplex mode only). It has flash memory dedicated to the operating system firmware, allowing firmware updates via a connection between the PC and the module serial port. The user controls the module operation through the programming software, or uses the RUN/STOP three-digit switch to control the module operation through the operation mode. Memory-protected keys or software passwords lock configuration and program data. The IC697CPM790 has four green LED indicators indicating the status of the CPU. Air cooling requires fan components. The user can connect the bus transmitter module IC697BEM713 to the programmer for parallel interface. A Type D connector with 15 pins connects the serial port, which is compatible with RS-485.
